"Guess who ?" quiz

Ch.

Don't correct others posts and then not expect it to be done to you, even when it is so "obvious'.

Anyway, contrary to your perceptions, my point was to tell the story, NOT to point out an obvious point. Sorry that you missed that; if i wanted to do so I could simply have said" There is no flag on the pole".

Thanks though, for letting me make my point again.

Guys,

Is this yet another case of "Here we go again"? I don't know about the other forum members, but I am personally growing a bit tired of this ongoing aggressivity and useless bickering.

marc,

do not worry, i am sure the thread will get back on topic as soon as Kim posts a new pic...probably someone civil war related (knowing Kim)...by the way, is there a time limit for the new "winners" to post pics? If so, and no new pics, is it 'open season' again? Just playing as we go.

Just a last point, while waiting Kim to post the next challenge :

"Fyodor Legkoshur, the bearer of the Hitler Banner during the victory parade, Obninsk, near Moscow, 1959" : these words are the exact caption of the pic I posted. Caption written by Jewgeni Chaldej himself in his book "Von Moskau nach Berlin".
Nobody's perfect Wink .

Doug, thanks again for the historical precision.

Kim, up to you now !!!

Cheers.

Who am I?

I was fighting with the Red Army 1943-45. But I was not born in the Soviet Union...
