How To Store And Display Awards.
Here is my first attempt at displaying an award. The background is black velvet. It looks better in person--for some reason I couldn't really get a good picture.

The award book is held in place by running black satin ribbon through the mount, and around the book, so no glue, tacks, etc are used. The OOR is similarly mounted. Anyone else attach their items this way?

Are those display cases expensive?

Thanks Dolf.

I think the case would retail for like $20 (I think that is what the sticker on the back said), but I bought 6 of them at a local discount store called BigLots for $6 each. I had to glue in the velvet backing myself, but you cant beat the price. It was Dumb luck. Smile

Thanks guys.
But we all know mine is just a humble collection compared to many others here Wink

Anyway, quite a few missing (including a complete collection of all known Types and Variations - according to Jan - of the Mongolian Combat Service Medal and the Honorary Labor Medal + some others non-Soviet) as I'm waiting for new Cases to display them.
Will add new pics when I'll get them ready.

Happy hunting,

Dolf
