I´ve seen that cap worn by suvorov students in actual Russia Federation parades.
There's nothing in the streets
Looks any different to me
And the slogans are replaced, by-the-bye
And the parting on the left
Are now parting on the right
And the beards have all grown longer overnight
The Who, Won't get fooled again

I've still got a few Suvorov caps and recently sold an entire Suvorov uniform. The caps are made from a linen type material - not wool and are naturally a small size. I have an air-force academy one and also a white summer cap.

i had a hard time getting them all together.
winter suvorov the black top red band white piping is just a mather of waiting they will turn up once a wail.
summer suvorov the white top red band and white piping is harder cause it is exactly the same as a summer militia cap. you need a small size 54 or smaller and a trust worthy source so you know it is not a militia cap.
aviation school winter the black top blue band and white piping is i guess the hardest to get hold off. it took me the longest and finely i found one that was marketed as a naval flight officer cap.
good luck

Yannis,
From the look of it, I'd say early 1960's. What date is stamped on the back of the buttons?

Yannis,
Welcome to the forum...it's a nice Generals parade visor from the 1955-1965 or so era; however, it's Soviet Army...if the band and piping are red, then it's regular army ground forces (is the color magenta? tough to tell the shade from the photo). The badge is correct, but it sounds like it needs new chincord buttons.
