Note that on this the officer is wearing the peaked cap (furazhka?) from the officer's green parade uniform, but the enlisted men are wearing the enlisted brown peaked cap with officer's gold chinstraps and enlisted white belt. Since the officer is wearing gold shoulderboards, and the enlisted men have gold edging on their, they are wearing white gloves. I would guess this photo took place in Moscow or Leningrad.
Does anyone recall ever seeing the enlisted Lenin Tomb guards wearing the green peaked cap with the grey officer's greatcoat? The only ones I can recall (and find on the web) are ones showing them in the green officer's parade uniform, and the winter uniform with woolen (astrakhan) ushankas.
