Some questions
#11
Note that on this the officer is wearing the peaked cap (furazhka?) from the officer's green parade uniform, but the enlisted men are wearing the enlisted brown peaked cap with officer's gold chinstraps and enlisted white belt. Since the officer is wearing gold shoulderboards, and the enlisted men have gold edging on their, they are wearing white gloves. I would guess this photo took place in Moscow or Leningrad.

Does anyone recall ever seeing the enlisted Lenin Tomb guards wearing the green peaked cap with the grey officer's greatcoat? The only ones I can recall (and find on the web) are ones showing them in the green officer's parade uniform, and the winter uniform with woolen (astrakhan) ushankas.

Willie77 supplied a link to a picture of the Lenin Mausoleum Guards with peaked caps and greatcoats.

Dang it, I must be getting old, and shooting off without looking closer. I'm attaching a thumbnail from the other thread for my own future reference in this thread.

Can we infer that the cap must match the belt, and the gloves must match the shoulderboards?

White gloves and peaked were worn with summer parade dress and as well with the gray parade greatcoat (when not too cold).
When it was getting too cold then brown gloves were worn with the astrakhan ushanka and the gray parade greatcoat.
When it was freezing the astrakhan ushanka was worn with a lined thick brown greatcoat with astrakhan collar, brown gloves, and leather boots with fur lining.
The officer parade yellow belt was always worn with any uniform configuration.
