In my recent collecting forays I came across these three Defense of the Caucasus medal documents marked with what appears to be red wax pencil. I have never seen such markings before and am ignorant of such a purpose. Note all are issued by the Georgian SSR. I would appreciate any and all enlightenment on the subject.
Document for the Medal Defense of the Caucasus issued to Boris ? Tainchuk dated February 17th, 1946, by the Chairman & Secretary of the Presidium of the Georgian SSR, Serial #Kh045303
Document for the Medal Defense of the Caucasus issued to Galaktion Kvirievich Murusidze dated ? 2nd, 1945, by the Chairman & Secretary of the Presidium of the Georgian SSR, Serial #B037988
Document for the Medal Defense of the Caucasus issued to Grigoriy Gori’yevich Turik dated February 17th, 1946, by the Chairman & Secretary of the Presidium of the Georgian SSR, Serial #Kh045194
Further inquiry with a more learned colleague leads me to believe these documents were issued to civilians and were most likely never issued due to "clerical errors".
