DougD Wrote:Another Mining cap from E, for a Mining Director. Nice looking cap. Dougd, i think this cap is fake. The cap itself i guess is a late soviet normal production. the insignia is wrong. it belongs on the shoulder of a mine rescue uniform. and to my knowledge does not belong on a cap. what would the purpose be of such big insignia on the wrong color backing. i have had a railstation officer (with the red top) with the exact same insignia.

Ser-g,
I trust your opinion on these postwar caps, so we will list it as suspect! I have to say the seller has had some other items that I would not be comfortable with. DougD

I have one similar to the first one posted except for oilcloth rather than bullion chin strap. Buttons are crossed hammers. Goes nice with uniform shown.

Gee whiz Jeff...
That seems VERY cool. Really... Please, show some more of that Mundir and it's cap - Macros of the collar insignia, small accouterments like buttons and the piping on the cuffs and breast would be exhilarating - speaking for myself of course. :D
The chinstrap buttons on the cap have been picked up also from the corner of my cornea...
I'm beginning to break a sweat. Gotta go. Silly icon> :love

Details of Tunic. Buttons are actually decoration only. The whole tunic closes with hooks on the right side. I call it my Jean Luc Picard tunic because it reminds me of the STNG formal officer tunic.
