I have been offered this Admiral of the Fleet of USSR parade/walkout? uniform. The seller says it is Gorshkovs paradewalkout uniform, but I am sceptic. It is complete, but... Gnnhng, it costs a lot of money and I dont want to spend money on something that is not worth it.
Note that it has some holes on left side, so it is not new, but on the other hand, the shoulderboards and the sleeve stripes may have been replaced.
I'd pass on it. I had one that was purported to be Gorshkov's uniforms that was purchased in Moscow in 1993... I eventually sold it though I still don't know for sure if it was really his. That said, the bullion work on that one was of very high quality, and showed it's age, whereas the embroidery on this one is of poor quality and looks brand new.
There's nothing in the streets
Looks any different to me
And the slogans are replaced, by-the-bye
And the parting on the left
Are now parting on the right
And the beards have all grown longer overnight The Who, Won't get fooled again
I wouldn't touch it mate. From the star on the sleeve, it doesn't look as aged as the uniform and the embroidery just doesn't look right. I would save your money.
the stars on sleeves make me think to the DDR admirals ones, the made-up or unissued jackets...I would not bet on it, it is very known USSR had legions of admirals...

Okay, found this on eBay.de , and asked the seller if he could send a better image of the ribbon bar. He just answer nein (no). I asked him if he could guarantee the uniform was 100% original and not a fake. Answer: Deine Frage ist mir zu blöde und Tschüß (which means: "Your question is too stupid for me, goodbye (you idiot) ").
I do not often get upset, but this persons answer on my polite question really made me sad.
