I received notice this morning of the new and improved website.
I have a couple of gripes. First of all, the reason why I don't post photos is because it is too difficult!!! I wish they could make it so that it would be easy to post photos!
Secondly, when are they going to bring back the articles section? I wrote a lot of articles and I have lots more...and I would want the others to contribute stories to make this site ever more interesting!
Perhaps there should be a section titled: MY STORIES.
Contributors post their stories WITH PHOTOS.
Thank you!

To attach photographs you just click on "manage attachments" select your jpg (size no longer matters - the forum software will do all the work for you) and click upload. Limit 3 pictures per post BUT there is now a larger file size allowance so the forum's software will compress your file for you - just not as much.
Now the second idea is a very good one indeed.
Send me an email (click on my profile and send email) and I'm sure we can have the articles section back up and running by the weekend.
I'm always open to a good idea, specially if someone has the gumption to back it up!

I like how the forum now reduces the file size for you (files larger than 100 KB are now automatically compressed to <100 KB). This is very useful, well done.

Is the limit still 100kb? I'll get on to that!

Yes, it is. It's probably enough for most purposes but I won't object to a higher limit...

New larger jpg attachments limits will be phased in over the week. There will still be higher allowances for users who have contributed more or subscribed but the increase is universal.
In the 24 hours following the forum email the number of users who signed in went up over 200%, only to go up even more the following day. 1/3rd of users signing in are ones that signed up to the forum within three years of its creation.
Subscriptions are also at an all time high. One day not too long ago had 14 users subscribe to the forum - not log in to the forum - pay the annual subscription within a 24 hour period. These users and the others that subscribe and often remain in the background make a serious contribution to the continuation of this forum. They may not be shouting and screaming but they certainly are making a positive contribution we should all be thankful for.
