From which book do these pictures come from?
By the way, this award is gorgeous! EDIT : What does the CT means?

Wow.......
what I wouldn't give.... I'm guessing the "CT-28" is a museum reference number? Those early documents are as nice or nicer than the early awards. There was a lot of thought and effort put into the creation of the award document.

Why would they include a fascio into the doc picture?
There's nothing in the streets
Looks any different to me And the slogans are replaced, by-the-bye And the parting on the left Are now parting on the right And the beards have all grown longer overnight The Who, Won't get fooled again

Wow, how stupid museums can be by numbering their lot.

Well, since it´s the first time I see a commonly associated to fascism symbol in a communist government doc, I found it very strange.
BTW, when did this design changed to a less-strange one?

Esteban, For centuries, the fasces were a symbol of the republican system. They were misused in the 20th century by the various fascist governments, so that today, they are almost always associated with fascism, totally disregarding 2 millennia of history. Marc

Hypothetical:
1- Recipient awarded the RSFSR Red Banner. 2- Recipient then awarded the USSR Red Banner. Question: Would (should, could) the second Red Banner have been a "2"? Sorry, a stupid question, I know. |
