Parade Cap

DougD Wrote:Its not a dembel cap, its a cap that as been altered( its real in that it was once ok) by a seller to make it sell. I am not sure whom would say its a dembel cap other than the seller.

:( So sad to hear that... I was convinced it was dembel.. I don´t know if it´s correct to say this here (if so please edit), but I´m selling it as one.

And so, I will remove the cap to avoid serious mistakes at once. Don´t wanna look like a fakes´ seller. Thanks for opening my eyes.

sell it as post demobilization modification (roughly dembel). dembel is pre demob modification but post demob wearing.

I agree with Doug on the hat. It´s not an dembel. I think it would be a punishment on putting an officers cap badge on when you are a private. It is in the swedish army atleast.
I have to ask you Doug; How can you tell that the ribbons are added? I can´t see a thing on this miniature pic!

However, would it look as dembel if instead of having an officers cockade, has a EM one?

Esteban,

I, for one, don't see why it could not be dembel. There is no rule about dembel; each soldier propped up his uniform in whichever way he felt like, and some of them were quite imaginative ;)

Yes but the question is that did a soldier or a seller prop up this cap?

IMHO, there is no way to tell for sure either way.

unless you do a full carbon 14 dating of the dna on the cap and obtain a full list of every person that was ever in the soviet army:D

Yes, It must be for a dembel Marshal of the USSR, maybe Sokolov...

its this kind of thinking that lets the sellers on E continue to sell this stuff and use whatever they want in the write ups: "could be"..."prove its not"....silly.
