Patriotic War.
especially your opinions on the hammer and sickle. the color of one is different than the other...maybe it's the lighting...

I'm not one the experts here who you should listen to but I don't see anything that jumps out and says "wrong".

At first glance, without referencing serial numbers to types and variations, I like them both.

thank you for your replies

the numbers are:

465233

and

443685

where would i look to see if these numbers are appropriate for the variations of these orders? i've already tried soviet-screwbacks.com and they were not found there ...

one of my concerns is that perhaps the original gold hammer and sickles have been replaced with brass ones, or am i just paranoid? :)

# 280180. this one i've had for a few years now... would like your opinions please

this one was worn on a daily basis. as you can tell the post was shortened so as not to injure the wearer when bumped. the last pic is with the disk screwed on all the way...

Order of the Patriotic War 1st class, Type 2 Var 1 (with one-line mint mark):

In the book of MC DANIELS types of this 12 o'clock positions must bear the mint mark with two-line.

Would you say that this is an Type 2 Var 2 or a Type 2 Var 1 even if the mint mark is in the 12 o'clock postion in one-line?

This ia a 1 line straight mintmark, late issue OPW1 with 4-8-12 (o'clock) rays. The last sub-version of version 1 of type 2 (T2V1.2 according to the Filler's system - best imho about ORS/OPW).
