Patriotic War.
MarvWe,

looks okay to me. Mint mark has the typical characteristics for this serial number range.

Nice piece. Could be awarded around spring / summer 1945.

425.231 - 07.05.1945 - 1. Guards Army
425.785 - 05.05.1945 - 106. Rifle Corps
439.715 - 21.04.1945 - 124. Rifle Corps

Bigger pictures would not hurt next time.

best regards
Andreas

Thank you. I took the pictures with my new Nikon camera with 16 megapixels. I don't now why they are so small.

MarvWe, before uploading your photos, delete the unnecessary parts :thumbsup

What do you guys think of this OPW? Could it be a type 1 which was converted due to the '45 victory parade?

Thanks in advance!

The order has been altered "in the field" according to the edict 19.07.1943 that changed rules of awards wearing. Not for parade - for daily wearing.
Participants of the Parade '45 had got "reissues" - new-type awards with prior (low range) numbers.

Ok, thanks Drill! Can you (or anyone else) tell me if it would be reasonable to buy this order for a higher price than a type 2 OPW? The seller asks €250 so I'm a bit stuck here...

Of cause type 1, even in a converted state anyway is valued higher than type 2.
Your offer is worn-enough but IMHO worth more.

Pretty cool piece. 250 euros probably a good price and this would be a great one to research

Thanks guys! I just bought this order. What would be the best way to do some research? I looked around on this site but I couldnt find a thread on how to research. Not even in the research corner...

Hi everyone,

Could I ask your opinions on this one? In particular the rough texture of the reverse?

Thanks, David.
