Patriotic War.
The consensus seems to be definitely a converted suspension piece. Which specific type, however, is beyond my knowledge.

Here is one I got many years ago. It came in a polish (!) case:

It is certainly a Polish medal case, but it has been interestingly re-used.:thumbsup

Is there any reason to suspect that it was indeed issued to a Polish recipient? Research?

It is not official, that's for sure. I also find it hard to belive that anyone would get an attachable ribbon bar with the award - that would be something most unusual in Poland and from what I know the bars in the USSR were mounted by the recipient him/herself.

However, it would be nice to learn if it was indeed given to a Polish national and cased by that person.

HI,

i would like to know if this Order of the Patriotic War is original.
it seems to be an original example of version V6.1.6 (with 'Flatback', large mintmark).
Range number: 765001-877500 [total issued: 112500] 08/17/1945.
Am i right?

Hi,

By reading one of CtahhR and Lapa's posts, we can notice that Orders of the Patriotic War, 1985 edition, have been produced by several mints and makers.

Here it is:

This could be a good opportunity to progress together on this subject of knowledge.

Marc (Lapa), CtahhR, others, could you share what you know about these mints & makers ? :thumbsup

Many thanks in advance.

Cheers.

I believe с небольшими сокращениями и с ре is a good start.
There certainly is a lot more variation and markers that just "with and without hollow".

Thanks CtahhR.

This is a start. I'm sure there are a lot more info to grab about these "easy to pick up" Soviet awards... :thumbsup

Cheers.
