Photographs Of Recipients Of Soviet Awards/Service Personnel.
So it’s perfectly legitimate to download somebody else images, put your copyright on it with intention to sell as your own? Sounds like it even should be encouraged?

Vadim, are those pictures yours?
There's nothing in the streets
Looks any different to me
And the slogans are replaced, by-the-bye
And the parting on the left
Are now parting on the right
And the beards have all grown longer overnight

The Who, Won't get fooled again

Gents,

A nice image of an unidentified HSL who, given what appear to be Honored Railroad Worker badges, was active in that field.

As far as I know, copyright is with the creator of the photo until he/she dies + 70 years or explicitly gives it away to someone else. Just owning the paper photo does not mean you automatically own the copyright.

I would also like to hear the reason Slava 1 Class keep adding his watermark to photos and I do not see how the collecting community would benefit from this.

A couple of images of what I take to be MVD officers.

Why you put your copyright on these images?

Although not the best image, this is the first instance I've ever come across of orders and medals being worn on what appears to be leather outerwear.

So you’re asking me? Not the person who posted images with his copyright on it? Interesting.

Who would buy CD from him, if images are available without watermark on this forum anyway?

I do not know about any cd. If I were looking for photos I would still be interested in a cd, with or without watermarks, rather than browsing hundreds of threads to gather them.

In my humble opinion, it would have been better and more useful to add the text "From the collection of X" so that anyone who is interested in further information knows who to contact rather than just a cryptical sl1c. It would also make it obvious that the photo itself is in a collection and thus the owner of the photo does not necessarily want it to be spread without a linkback to the source.

Of course you missed all of it.:thumbsup This is just a few of many
If there is great interest among forum members, I might consider putting together and offering a CD of images I've gathered over the last decade.

As I've mentioned previously, I've given some thought to offering a compilation CD.

I never had any doubts in you. For every thief there are 10 times as many people willing to buy stolen goods, if given the right deal.
And let me reassure you, Slava1class does not own images he posted on this forum or offering for sale.
