Bought this one recently.
Made somewhere in late 70's I think.
I am wondering about the identity of these generals.
The polish one is of course Jaruzelski. The MSU may be Kulikov then (but it's a guess - I have seen no pictures of him from this period).
And who are the 3 other generals (Czechoslovak, E. german and Bulgarian)?
Yup, you guessed right. the guy behind Kulikov is bulgarian, the next is east german and the last one is czech.
BTW, nice photo:)
There's nothing in the streets
Looks any different to me
And the slogans are replaced, by-the-bye
And the parting on the left
Are now parting on the right
And the beards have all grown longer overnight The Who, Won't get fooled again
Thanks!
So 2 of them identified.
But for the others - I know the nationality, but could You (or someone else) possibly tell me their names? I think they must be someone important - the picture is descried on the back as (not a direct translation): "top commanders - generals of the Warsaw Pact".
Yes it is obviously Ustinov. I think that the Czech is Martin Dzur (1919-1985).The Bulgarian is Dobri Djurov (1916-2002), both of them were ministers of defence.

Thanks! Than all of them identified within a day!
Interestingly, it seems that from this grup only Jaruzelski is still alive.
Any guess what ocasion it may be?
My guess would be some WP excercises (looks like an open-air event), but I don't know the dates of those.
The picture was taken between 1973 (when Jaruzelski got his 4th star) and 1980 (as Ustinov has no embriodery on his cap).
