A nice image of G. N. Zaytsev. He was awarded his Glories for service with the 53rd Separate Sapper Battalion. He went on to win his HSL/Order of Lenin as a Brigadier of a Tractor Brigade in the agricultural sector.

Gents,
An interesting story here. Siberian Ananiy Fedorov was a combat medic. Although the image shows him wearing three For Valor medals, in actuality he was awarded four. The fourth lies deep in his chest where a German bullet buried it.
Talk about holding it close to the heart..... Would you happen to know the number of the "MIA" Medal and also any details on when and where he "lost" it?
Red Army soldier Komarov from Kurgan was somewhat luckier. One of his four For Valor medals saved his life although the missing piece remained embedded in his chest.
