Great image of a brave veteran. What are the odds of surviving not one but two German/Russian conflicts, the purges, the famines and the gulags? Dude deserves a couple ORBs for that.
Also, notice the damaged RS.

After the GPW, L. I. Kharitonov was demob'ed as a Senior Lieutenant. He initially served as a personal driver for a Soviet ministry. He later continued service in a motorized unit of a specialized MGB-KGB formation.
Among his later awards were the badges/medal for 10 and 15 years service in the KGB and 20 years service in the USSR Armed Forces.

Gents,
Posting this in the Orders sub-forum although it could just as well have been posted in several other sub-forums.
This is the first time I've come across an image of the Yugoslavian Order of National Hero awarded to a Soviet naval officer. After further research, it should have come as no surprise as he was the sole Soviet naval officer among the 16 Soviets so awarded.
He was awarded his order on June 21st, 1945 while a Captain Second Rank. A series of images follows.
