Photographs Of Recipients Of Soviet Awards/Service Personnel.
Came across this one whilst combing through the aforementioned lot of original hard images recently acquired.

If you got 'em, smoke 'em...

Gents,

Continuing today's triple-themed threads, a couple of nice images of triple Otlichnik awardees.

The first gent is a Guards-qualified Commo, Machine Gunner and Air Defense Otlichnik awardee. As for our two-theater combat vet Tank Troops Guards Senior Sergeant - he really loved tanks.

What's that on the other side, a VDNkH medal?

The suspension makes me think of a State Prize or something like that.
There's nothing in the streets
Looks any different to me
And the slogans are replaced, by-the-bye
And the parting on the left
Are now parting on the right
And the beards have all grown longer overnight

The Who, Won't get fooled again

According to Wikipedia (always <100% reliable), he was a 1954 Stalin Prize recipient.

Gents,

Based on information contained in the subsequent posts to this thread, the medallion on his right chest is clearly the Lenin Prize.

Gents,

Good image of an unidentified Border Troops HSU Lt Col. Other than his Order of Alexander Nevskiy, not much else to help I.D. him.
