Gents,

A nice group image of three coal miner HSLs and two HSUs. Note both the collar and cuff embroidery. Portrayed are Gospoda Dubina, Kudinov, Cherkasov, Podsharov and Boloto.

Picked up 2 cool photos yesterday.

Firstly, General Yakir and chief of staff Khripin. Yakir is in the centre pointing to the sky and Khripin has the sunglasses and cigarette to his left. The picture was taken in 1936, shortly before they were both killed in Stalin's purges in 1937.

Secondly, here is Marshall of the SU Kiril Semenovich Moskalenko. Taken in 1960, shortly before he was named Supreme Commander of the Soviet Missile Forces. (after this was taken he was awarded 1 more HSU and various medals and orders.

Eric,

There is no need to do that. Given the time-period, that chap was the happy holder of the RSFSR ORB and its second award.

Gents,

Staying on the naval theme, it's not all too often that you come across naval personnel who have been awarded a Khmelnitskiy 3.

And very little else. A desk jockey, probably?
