Profiency badge
#1
I have never seen this type before, white... is it an older type of the all-blue ones?

Woo...I've been looking at a lot of badges in the last 6 months and I've never seen anything like that. Could be fake, fantasy, dembel...
The leaves do not match my early, brass and enameled screwbacked piece and I don't have a later, painted example. Although yours seems to have red and blue enamel as well.
Did you ever find out anything about this?

I did not find out anything more, a friend has it in his collection.

With the white border? I think that is the question.

I checked Avers 8 and they show only the brass and enamel version (not the cheap paint ones (70s/80s)). No white paint/enamel.
Airapetyan and URAL, at least the ones I have, don't show this badge at all.

It doesn't look 50s to me.

Patrik,

I have one (or two???) of these in my collection. They are at best very uncommon. I tend to believe that they are rather 1960's production.

I found these images very recently on eBay.
The white border is somewhat sloppy and I feel it might, might, be post-production. But that's just a guess.
On the reverse it looks like it might have the remains of that grey solder/flux that I've noticed on a certain era's badgework.

The white enamel looks so sloppily applied.
Could this be by any chance early dembel work?
There's nothing in the streets
Looks any different to me
And the slogans are replaced, by-the-bye
And the parting on the left
Are now parting on the right
And the beards have all grown longer overnight

The Who, Won't get fooled again
