Anyone ever noticed that stars in the range of 2.300.000 - 2.500.000 don't seem to be showing up in list or collections?
My little collection skips from 2.284.498 to 2.529.572.
In Paul's book "Echos of War", his listings skip from 2.293.696 to 2.503.239 with only one mention of a 2.459.453 awarded in 1947.
What gives? Looking through Paul's book, that is the largest set of missing numbers not accounted for. Oh, sure, there are gaps of 100-300, maybe 2,000 but we are talking 200,000 Red Stars that are missing from the market.

Very interesting observation!
None of the missing numbers you mention are on the Filer Website.
But in their database they have 5! :)

I have eight or nine MZPP's, and the ones on them all look that way. I'm about 99% sure you have a one there. Given the style of engraving, it has to be MZPP; I strongly vote that it's a "1". :thumbsup
