Red Star.
Welcome! Near as I am able to extrapolate, number 2120496 may have been issued late (November)1945, whereas number 1890322 may have been a mid-1945 (May/June) issued piece, per the green bible. Please post pictures front and back! I am fairly certain they are both MZPP variants, similar to the example pictured below, 1895345, a mere 5023 numbers away. . .

Forgive me for asking but what are the MZPP?

It was/is a particular factory that helped out during the GPW with manufacturing certain orders that were in high demand (as I understand it).

This thread (and other similar ones) might help: http://www.soviet-awards.com/forum/sovie...p-ors.html

#123,151 circa 1942 A true combat order! Unlike the red stars awarded for long service . I am new to posting feedback would be highly desirable!

Well hello there, and welcome to the forum.
That's a very, very nice RS. Screwpost base; the Grail of my collecting endevours. :)
My guess on the date would be around March of 1943 but still, like you say, an award for some serious valor in the GPW.

Welcome to the forum!

No one has mentioned it yet, but are you interested in research on your awards? The Red army archives have information on many awards, and for a fee it is available from a number of private sources. These sources go to the archives and, based on a name, serial number or both, look up who the award was issued to, why it was awarded, and sometimes can gather personal information on the awardee. While not interesting to many collectors some of us find it fascinating. Indeed, for some (like me :)) it's the raison d'ĂȘtre for collecting in the first place.

At any rate search around the forum for information, or feel free to drop me a PM for specifics.

Yes i have been intrested for a long time to look up numbered awards but i dont know where to go or who to talk to. Yes with me i think the story of the awardee is more intresting then the medal itself
