Numbered 3699051 I love Red Stars there beautiful and for the most part affordable. Any idea when this range of numbers were issued? I'm guessing late 60's early 70's.

Beautiful piece! 60's or 70's is probably right. I'll take a bet it was for the 50th anniversary of the October Revolution. But you'll never know without trying research! Cheers, :thumbsup Alex

RedMaestro2 Wrote:Beautiful piece! Yes research is the key. But IMHO with the price of researching a award i rather research a low war time number. For me to spend X amount of dollars to read that "This person served X amount of years in X organization and deserves X award." Just seems like a bummer to me. Almost a waste of money for me when i have so many war time orders that could paint a much more intresting story. But on the other hand this could be a award for operations in the middle east from 67 to 73 or operations in Africa or something else really intresting. So like you said you never know until you research it.

Hello everybody !
I have seen this one recently for sale on E***; the seller wanted 75,-$ US for it :laff I have never seen a Red Star with such heavy wearing traces indeed... By the way: as recognizable, the enamel has been replaced on all 5 (!) arms of the star !!! Jens

Why do you suggest this is a "dublikat"?

IMHO, it is a regular issue ORS.

But I couldn't tell for sure without checking images on the 'net so I've no doubt you two are in the right of it. Plus, it's early & I'm still a bit groggy. :)

It's a very common hand writting for this range. Made by MMD in 1943.
