Was it the real thing what I have seen at the Soviet Armed Forces Museum in Moscow?

Hi Bryan,
Nice pic. I believe no awarded Order of Victory is at the Soviet Armed Forces Museum, so this should be "museum copy". Can you confirm it ? Cheers. Ch.
No I can't confirm it, but considering the display I thought it wasn't the real thing.
Oh and here is the ceiling of the Hall of Glory at the Victory museum in Moscow. It could make a nice avatar ![]() EDIT: Last picture is from outside of the museum.

Excellent. I was also joking
, as there are no diamonds on the laurels... But, please, post more pics of them... As you know, this Order is my favorite one!!!! Cheers. Ch.

Soviet,
I believe that there are only 2 Orders of Victory on display in Russia. One at the Almazniy Fund in Moscow, the other one in the numismatic gallery of the Ermitage in St Petersburg (that is, when it is open ).Outside of Russia, you can see one in the War Museum in London (Montgomery's), and one in Abilene at the Presidential Library (Eisenhower's). Lapa Wrote:Soviet, Marc, As far as I know (and correct me if I'm wrong), Tito's one is exhibited in Belgrade (Museum of 25th May). in the Almazny Funf in Moscow are several Orders kept, but maybe only one is displayed... Cheers. Ch.
