Neat bar. Fun to imagine the career that would end up with that combination of awards. It appears that allmost half of his awards were foriegn so along with his multiple border guard awards, I'm sure he spent most of his career looking through his binoculars at nato folks looking through binoculars at him.

Yes, I were able to ID general. I got this tunic with his photos, letters and other papers.
This tunic belonged to general Lyashenko (Ljashenko) Nikolaj Grigorjevich (Лященко Николай Григорьевич).

Interesting version but accordingly to general's biography he served far from NATO - as commander of Volga-Urals Military District, Turkestan Military District and Central-Asian military district since 1963.
There's nothing in the streets
Looks any different to me
And the slogans are replaced, by-the-bye
And the parting on the left
Are now parting on the right
And the beards have all grown longer overnight The Who, Won't get fooled again
