A labor union membership booklet. Dual languages are Russian and I'm pretty certain Belorussian, but could be wrong.

In the second picture - right side last bit of writing in lower right hand side has letters that look like AHBCCP (ANVSSR) but I can't tell for sure because enlarging the photo only makes it worse. Besides, that acronym doesn't make any sense to me, so it must be something else.:)

Hi Phillip.
Actually, it looks more АН БССР wich may mention the Belorussian SSR. Of course, I`m not sure either, please correct me if I am wrong :)

That's perfect. It demonstrates that desantnik was correct about it Belarus(sia) though I can only guess at what the A and N stand for. (Glad you have a Cyrillic keyboard.:thumbsup)

It's belorussian for sure. I cannot read it whole, but it seems he had joined the trade union at Physico-technical institute of the AN (Academy of Science) of the Belorussian Soviet Socialist Republic.

It's a Belarussian labor union membership booklet, specifically for workers of Physics-Technical Institute of the Academy of Sciences of BSSR. AH is "Akademiya Nauk." :thumbsup The booklet is from '85 and looks like the gentleman joined the union in 1979.

Hello folks,
I am trying to find the best translation for these words. They are from an officer personal file in the section about his civilian work before being in the army. He worked in a factory and this was his position at different times.

1- рабочий (worker / labor)
2- бригадир (brigade leader?)
3- мастер (foreman?)

Thanks in advance!
