Captain 2nd Rank

Here is the last uniform I acquired. I mounted everything on it, quite happy with it! :)

Its it just me, or do the sleeve stripes go all the way around?

On earlier parade models, including Admirals', stripes were going all the way around. Later on, they changed that to the small patch sewn on the sleeves.

In the uniform regulations book we can see the difference: long sleeve stripes (like on this uniform) for parade, and small sleeve stripes for the walking out uniform.

I was talking about the 1988 regulations book.
The tunic is dated from 1989.

Never mind, Because of the way Laurent photographed it, it looks like they go all the way around. I just inverted the colors on the picture (negative), and it turns out that they don't. Thanks for the info though, Marc.
