Correct name for this badge
Anyone know the correct name for this badge.
I read somewhere this is hard to find and this may be a reproduction. I aquired this badge almost 20 years ago |

Re: Correct name for this badge
Larry, off the top of my head and without checking sources there are two things:
1) It looks like a "higher" military academy badge for "tankmen." 2) I'm not entirely sure it is real - the screw post base and the screwnut (star mark) suggest it could go either way. I have a number of badges I keep in my "questionable" drawer because of that same screwnut. If anybody knows more about the mint that uses that mark, I would love to hear about it.:thumbsup Phillip

Re: Correct name for this badge
Larry,
If you bought it 20 years ago, it means that they were faking these badges fairly convincingly then... Marc |

Re: Correct name for this badge
It may indeed be what school one that looks like this would be for, but the authenticity problem is still there.:)
