Order "I. V. Stalin".
Well, we are all familliar with the "Umalatova" medals. but this story, from a well known ebay seller is somthing else: did you know that the "order of Stalin" was made by MONDVOR? Do you know who got it? Read and laugh (or cry):
Qute: "This order was established by the orders of the new Government of Russia. This order is a very rare item, due to the short period of time of production by Mondvor, and a small amount of people who received this order. This order was given out to people who where heroically different on war and civil posts in defense of the USSR STATE FRONTIER. It was also given to scientific inventions that made the Government stronger. This medal is an extremely collectable item, a must have for every Russian orders collector. THIS ORDER SHOWS THE PERIOD OF NEW RUSSIA." Well........ |

Hahaha..I saw this also. Please tell me this wasn't made by our MONDVOR. Looks like it came out of a gumball machine.

Guys,
This is an actual award that was issued by the Umalatova communist party. Definitely not made in MONDVOR. I have seen several copies, and there are several different variations (metal content), none of which is expensive. If you are an Umalatova award collector, then you should be interested, otherwise - it's not worth the few bucks it costs in Russia. |

hi alexei; I never saw it on american web. Maybe the price catches up (like all other stuff) because it is sold as a curiosity, a nonsense, anachronism. The ukrainans who sold the order to my friend considered it like a relatively scarce curiosity, but not an historical object. Really the comment of the seller releved by Tal is astounding!

I've seen several on US eBay between $29 and $49
I didn't see any bids either! Rusty.

Guys,
I got one for $15.00, and I don't think you should pay more. After all, Umalatova or not Umalatova, it is stil a fantasy piece.

I totaly agree, it's just a curiosity item. I have never actualy sold them myself, but I believe the dealer's price in this country is about $20. Alexei |
