This image dates to May 8, 1965. It was taken at a Kremlin HSU award ceremony. HSU Chief Marshal of Tank Troops P. A. Rotmistrov is the only one I'm able to positively identify. Fellow forum members may recognize others - especially the HSU Admiral of the Fleet of the USSR. Regards, slava1stclass

It's relatively unusual to see two hanger Suvorovs awarded to the same person. Future Double HSU Guards Colonel A. A. Golovachyov was a brigade commander who was KIA in Poland in January 1945. Regards, slava1stclass |
