Glory.
Here is an interesting "Order of Glory" that I am wondering about.

The number is 752.175 and yes, that looks like blood on the ribbon.

The guy who sold it says it is from a guy that was in Afganistan but you never know the truth until you research them.

Anyway, my questions are:

1. Is the number legit?
2. If legit, what timeframe are we talking about since I have seen 500,000 issued around WW2.

Number and piece is legitimate and it is 99% a catch-up award for WWII awarded in the 70-90's. There is no evidence of a Glory Afghanistan awarding, or anything post WWII for that matter.

If it is blood, it was from partying too hard. You can create the same effect if you take a pin, stab your finger and touch the ribbon!

To all:

As previously discussed elsewhere in the forum, I have come across evidence which indicates an Order of Glory was awarded to a Soviet servicemember for action against the Americans during the Korean War. I have the name of the recipient as well as his personal account of the events behind the award.

slava1stclass,

Do you have any scans of this OoG awarded during the Korean War? Do you know the whole story about it?

Laurent,

No, I do not have detailed images of the actual order in question. I do, however, have an image of the recipient wearing his two Orders of Glory - one of which was for the Korea action.

Yes, I have his personal account (in Russian) as to why he was awarded it. He had a very interesting miltary career to say the least.

I'm sure you can give us a sneak peek at this persons records.

I'm sure the book will sell better if you do some show and tell advertising here.

Thus, what I stated earlier still stands. There is still no evidence of a Glory awarding for post WWII actions.
