Fake Order And Medal Booklets
Marsino,

The booklet and the first entry are original, the second entry for the Order for Personal Courage is fake.

It is a shame how some people will destroy an otherwise nice booklet.

I Agree, but it is the law of profit...

Yes, but reversed: Take something of value and transform it into trash. A truly genius act.

That would be a pretty bizarre combo too, the Labor Glory-III and the Personal Courage. ;)

What do you gents think of this one? I own the October Revolution, # 2 in the book so it's unclear if the the October entry is added. Looks ok, at least it's the right color of ink; "looks" to be from 1971 too. Probably faked though. :thumbsdown

George,

Although the inks are very similar, the handwriting is not the same. That isn't always a bad thing, but I can't say for sure that both are good.

Thanks Phillip--yeah could have really been written in in '58 and '71. Hopefully not in '58 and '10 though. :)

Ahh interpretation. My thought is that the inks and handwriting are too close to the same, ie, someone is trying to convince the casual viewer that they 'should' be there. Whereas with a 13 year gap between entries they probably should be much more distinct IMO. :chuckle Guessing... guessing...
