Do you display your orders at all? Since they look so good on show. Also do you have any matching documents?

I have a big display case but since i am gone alot I keep all my medals and coins in a safety deposit box at the bank. At least there it is insured.

Hello friends
Got that beauty :-) Could someone please tell me the exact type, issue period of that type and the value (for insurance reasons)? Thank you and best wishes KDVR

Your RB was produced between February and August 1945 by the Moscow Mint and probably awarded around April 1945. Value is around $250-300.
As to the type: well, that depends on the classification you use... According to Strekalov / Durov this is a type 4, variant 1, subvariant 3, according to Mondvor this is type 3, variant 4, subvariation 2, according to McDaniel this is a type 3, variation 2, etc...

Hi All!
Believe I have a Type 3, 3rd Variation Order of Red Banner. The Serial # is 2,417,129. According to a few online sources I found there were a total awarded 581,300. Does anyone know the total # awarded? Thank you! Scott

581300 were awarded but since there were 2nd-7th award variations the M.D. site states that the highest observed "Red Banner" is 566746.
