A really tiny picture scanned at very high resolution to reveal a Red Star and a Bravery Medal. . .

Here are a trio of jumpers, apparently Afghanistan veterans from RT's website. I have doubts about the grouping in the centre. The Afghan "For Bravery" looks like a fake (and is on the wrong ribbon) and other than the first 3 awards (and the Afghan one) all are organisational bits. I would have expected at least a Soviet Jubilee Medal there somewhere after a Red Banner, For Bravery and For Combat Merits.

Final resting place of HSU Colonel Shayapin in Tashkent - not the St. George ribbon fairly recently applied to his grave.

I don't know where to post this, but here is the final resting place of Lieutenant Colonel Nikolai Grigorevich Velichko - rather proud of his KGB affiliation. Stone states Velichko was "tragically killed" 22.11.76.
