RE: New World's badge. I respectfully disagree. The badge you are referring to (the university graduation badge for non-medical professions) was made of solid gold or gilded silver, and Eagle and wreath design was slightly different. I believe this one is an 1899 variation, established for military personnel, completing a full course of studies at civilian universities for non-medical professions. It is smaller, made of silver, has thinner Eagle, and wreath cut out at the top. Alexei |
