Collecting Advice Please

OK, So Im new to collecting medals and I thought I may as well make use of all your brains!

For the time being I have decided to concentrate on the 5 sided suspension medals of WW2 ie Defence, Liberation, Capture and Victory as most of these seem to be at a collectable price and this is the period that interests me the most.

1. Where do you recomend I look for medals (Im already on Ebay)

2 . Is there a definative website or book I can buy showing me what to watch out for in the way of fakes?

3. what do you all consider to be (ball park) reasonable prices for medals of this type & period ie A=? C=? R1=? R2=? and so on

And any other advice is welcome!
