The fact that he won the Military Cross might help you with this OGPW. In the National archives somwhere will be a detailed award card for Subadar Birta Sing Gurung.
I'm not 100% sure but i think all 1st World War VC's, MC's etc are availiable online already including Gurkha recipients. How detailed the entries for the other medals are i'm not certain.
This and the Association seems the only possible approach to finding the OGPW award # or details on the citation, as Dave has stated, no way from the Russian side "it's next to impossible to research an award to a foreigner"
