That's just the sort of thing I mean. Unfortunately I don't have a Ukaz date but the Medal Documents date late October to late November pre-dating that particular Ukaz. One was to a Belarussian, one in Uzbekistan and the others not traced yet.
I wouldn't be surprised if 50,000 - 100,000 Medals alone were awarded in conjunction with the 50th anniversary.
