Haha, uniforms can cause so many problems and start so many fights. :D Haha. Luckily they are never very serious. :P But that is a very fine uniform, the only ones I spot on E seem to be reproductions from singapore...lame.

I agree with the others that this is a really nice example - right down to the cloth stars on the shoulder boards.:thumbsup

Doug, have the years provided any new information regarding whether these were for NKVD or NKGB? (I'm not trying to stir up anything and remember my ignorance of cloth. I just know what I like and what piques my interest.:D)

On one hand I have no evidence of existence of soviet parade belt with four stripes, no matter what color. They all have three stripes. On other hand these belts looks familiar.

Welcome to the Forum. You can trust that Doug is spot on about the uniform being NKGB. If he says something about uniforms, you can rest assured it is accurate. True, the Soviet Air Force used light-blue ("sky blue") for piping, collar tabs and accent colors, but the famous "corn silk blue" of the secret police from the KGB/FSB all the way back to the Cheka is reserved for them. I prefer to call it "royal blue" since I have no personal knowledge of blue corn silk.:) Lots of unscrupulous sellers on a certain auction site try to sell air force uniforms as KGB/NKVD items because they can get more money for them. It's a subtle difference in hue, and easily mixed up depending on the photograph or age of the material (exposure to sun, etc.), but a very important difference for collectors.
