Badge "People's Protection Detachment".

Here is the Badge "People's Protection Detachment" (인민보위대). This Badge is made of aluminium and is quite peculiar as it is worn on the arm.

The official statement and English translation reads;

"The People’s Safety Troops attached to the People’s Safety Agency are fully armed just like ordinary military troops. The role of the People’s Safety Troops is in name only to protect and guard civil facilities such as public buildings, facilities, factories and others, but in practice their tasks are almost the same as the army."
