General of the GPU
I thought people here would like to see this ultra-rare coat for a General in the GPU (Voenruk), the Soviet secret Police for 1922 -1923 (late 1923 changed to OGPU). This is the coat for a real Chekist!

I mainly like visors but quality always stands out. Darn that is a nice jacket Doug! Congradulations to the new owner on a fine addition to their collection.
How is the market for uniforms of that era as it relates to fakes or assembled pieces? Are there any good reference books or websites to use as references for uniforms of this era? I have seen sections of books and scattered portions of websites but not an entire book devoted to that era. Anyone have any tips? Thanks Clete
