Rare OSOAVIAKhIM cap badge (if i am correct) on E.

Not really my thing, but rare! Good to keep a photo of it here for our records.

This badge is for the war time OSOAVIAKhIM (no idea what the cap would look like!); much like the postwar DOSAFF, it was a support organization for the Soviet Armed Forces.

It appears the market prices on soviet collectibles have not collapsed completely. I thought I would pick this up for a few buks to add to a Osovaiakhim shadow box I have. Damaged and all, it went for $102, no doubt to one of our forum's cap star collectors. I'm sure the seller, who didn't know what it was, was pleasantly surprised.
