Most expensive awards were purchased around June 2002.

However, I have made several large purchases recently - but, this had more to do with me reconnecting with an old friend / dealer rather than my willingness to pay today's higher prices!

P.S. matteti, good idea for a topic - it will be interesting to see everyone's response.

Since I've sold almost everything of value in my collection, I'd have to say my three remaining Nevsky groups (two to generals) that were purchased between June 2002 and January 2003.

Matthijs,

Really didn't purchase them as an investment, probably most of us don't, but as it turns out didn't do too bad as I am sure that in retrospect we can all say that! Actually in 2003, I purchased nine Lenins (my favorite Order).

Alan,

I remember that Suvorov 3 with an Orders Book on eBay that you picked up for under $1000. I remember going that is SO MUCH $$$ Now, the joke is on me...

Good Job!
