Can the experts of the forum tell me anything about this and what is wrong with it. I know the badges are wrong and the I think the buttons are army. But would this be good for a conversion to a paratroopers uniform.

Here is a Picture of the Ribbons

I'll try to help. From what I know, I think The Air Force buttons are the same as all other soviet forces except navy (navy has anchor).
marshal, general, admiral buttons are the exception, as i think they all have the emblem of ussr on them.

Nice uniform, but ribbons do not look good though.

tunic

The tunic itself is OK, the badges are fine for air force and the buttons are fine as they are the same for air force and army; the ribbons are probably, but not 100%, made up.

Is this worth 65 dollars which includes shipping. I figured some of the stuff was not good. I am also curious would this be the same type of uniform the vdv would have.

Im not sure if youre aware, but you double posted. But anyway, I assume this would be the same for VDV with the exception of collar tabs. I honestly, have never actually seen even a picture of a vdv colonel, just enlisted and never any in parade uniform.

I am aware I double posted. I alway heard VDV was the same as the airforce and the insignia I know is different because I have some of the VDV ones. Thanks for the help.

tabs

It would be an easy conversion; just change the collar tab devices from flight wings to paratrooper versions. Otherwise, same uniform ( take off the flight badge and add a parad badge too).

or if you want to keep the air force, you can display medals on it and make it look somewhat like gagarin's uniform. :D
