Re: Siberia Cross

Never seen the second one, but it has the symbol of Związek Sybiraków (Association of those sent to Siberia), so I believe it's an organizational award of some sort. No idea about the value.

Re: Siberia Cross

These are Organisational awards rather than State awards. Certainly not the sort of award the People's Republic would have allowed.

As for value you really don't want to be spending more than €40 with the document.

Re: Siberia Cross

The first one IS a state award, however it was introduced around 1989 I believe, so it's rather a IIIRP-era (but You would be surprised to learn what was official in the PRP - as I stated somewhere on this forum in the past, the PRP was somewhat schizophrenical) award. Btw., the one shown here is a miniature, not the actual award.
I have managed to find out that the second one is called "Honorary badge "Sybir(Siberia)" and was indeed an organizational award, but criteria are unknown.

It was the second I was speaking of.
I believe these were awarded, in the late '90s, simply for paying dues.

These two awards should really have been posted in different posts and not clustered together as laid out in the guidelines - http://soviet-awards.com/forum/sovie...uidelines.html.

It is never to late to post correctly!

Związek Sybiraków (Association Of Siberian Deportees) is the Organization that issues this and many other awards.

I thought these were "guidelines", not "divine laws"?

Re: Siberia Cross

First of all, thanks for all your answers!
As Al-muell said, the first one is from the IIRP (After 1990) but I had doubts with the second one (that I liked more).
CtahhR, about posting it in 2 post, I didn´t do it because I just want to know information, and wanted to put both pictures to compare them and help people to find and answer.
In any case, next time I´ll post it in 2 times.
Thanks again for your time!
