My "precious"
ok, so besides a couple dozen MzPP stars. The thing that, to me, was the coolest item(s) I added this year was a set of six "action" documents to the same person, a Vladimir Pavlovich Semanov. They are as follows:
When I started bidding on our local site, I lost the first but but continued to bid for the next five. After the bidding was done, the winner of the first document emailed me to ask if I wanted it as well since I had won the others. So I paid the final price to the owner and collect all six by mail. BTW, the winner of the first is a member of this forum from Finland.

I've been wanting to post something cool that I got in 07. My collecting budget has been only double digits for the last 8 months so I ain't got much. After doing a search I found an OG2 that I got back in March or so. Assuming it's actually real I guess that would be my "best" of this year. Kinda bummed that I don't have much to look forward to in '08.

I'm a member of allegro.pl since more than 3 years, but I have never bought anything, because I always find it complicated for me to transfer money to Poland. Beside Western Union which is very expensive, I didn't know what to do. Money in registered letter? I don't think so.

It never fails that any package sent to my kids by their grandparents in America is opened up and rifled through. The only way it never happens is to ship by a private company. There are several out there that specialize in shipping for as little as 50 cents a pound. Soviet, if there is something that you want to purchase on Allegro, PM me and we will see what we can do. Since the Canadian dollar is nearly par with the US dollar, we know about that it will cost. I can probably have you send the money to my parents in Tennessee.

I once registered on Allegro when I lived for a while in Berlin. The Soviet pieces were cheap then on Allegro, but now I haven't looked for a while. The prices must still be better than on e*Bay for sure.

Pacha, you had a big first year collecting soviet!
In my first year, I had only one order of RS and 4 medals...we cannot really say "collecting", but it was the start of a passion! |

As for me, this is the most important reason for success
At least, it works for me the most. If you don't have a support from your wife, other reasons are Eric Last edited by ericlida; 12-23-2007 at 11:48 AM. |

One more (very!!!) favorite acquisition for the year, not exactly OMD, but still sovietana.
Flag issued for the 17th Congress of the Communist Party in January 1934. The quality of the embroidery is simply amazing, using gold and silver threads, silk. Marc Last edited by Lapa; 12-23-2007 at 03:18 PM. |
