Medal "For Rescuing The Dying".
The Medal "For Rescuing The Dying" (Медаль «За Спасение Погибавших») was founded on 2nd March 1994 by Decree #442 and is awarded "to citizens for the rescue of people in times of natural disasters, from water, under the earth, in extinguishing fires and in other circumstances, which are a risk to life."
The Medal can be re-awarded if a similar feat is done after a 5 year period from the first award. To date 8464 have been awarded. Here is #3172 which will date from mid 1997.
