I hope I'm not crashing the party here with a veterans' version I just received today. I was told it was a Yugoslavian "SUBNOR" partisan badge. Though not nearly as beautiful or dramatic as the "official" partisan awards, it has some style. And as for veterans badges, it is pretty nice (and small < 1").:) I've also seen several other variations on ePay and other places.

(Yes, I will clean the "verdigris" out of the crevices using the method Esteban suggested in another post.;))
