Reality check?
I recently purchased these two items.
Russian Army Combat Boots, which I assume are modern and amazing? And a Russian militia visor hat which I fell in love with at first sight. However, I am new to the collecting scene and I would like to know if these are fakes...you people are the experts and I need help. Unfortunately the pictures came directly from their site, hence the water mark, I'll post some pics when I receive my order. And for 250 dollars I would like to think its authentic... Thanks, Lonigan |

Re: Reality check?
Well it is a modern Russian militiamans visor hat, so I'm really unsure.
Besides, 50 dollars of that went to shipping, 80 for the boots, about 70-80 for the hat, and then the exchange rate from 180 USD to my total of 250 CAD! Lame eh? Haha. |

Re: Reality check?
Im not really into medals and stuff as much as I am into garb and clothes...but I am VERY partial to a good guards badge or a nice KGB trincet. :)
Thanks. |

Re: Reality check?
This may sound like a strange response, but something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. If you wanted it, you felt it was worth that much. I've spent over $50 for a single patch the average person would give me $1 for, but since I felt it was rare and I wanted it, I was willing to pay that much :)

Re: Reality check?
Pastfinder,
No argument with your explanation, but in this case, that cap and these boots are anything but rare, or even scarce... Marc |
